I'd like to start the post by saying that the whole "panic" around Vanguard being a requirement for League of Legends is completely redundant. Here's why:
- Vanguard isn't something new. It's been active in Valorant for years and it has already been bypassed by many different cheats.
- As a self-learning program, Vanguard auto-bans are based on collecting a lot of data and scanning cheaters behavior. It take years for this process to start being efficient. Even in Valorant where Vanguard has been active for years, it still fails to auto-ban cheaters even some that are actively using public cheats and on top of that streaming them in platforms such as TikTok.
- Vanguard for League of Legends is not same as the one for Valorant. It doesn't have the self-learning database and the cheating data/behavior that has been collected through the years. Riot can not take advantage of that knowledge simply because the games are way too different and cheating mechanics / cheaters behavior differs in many ways.
- Vanguard relies on a driver to be actively monitor your actions not only in game, but even if you don't play, however even the simplest process thread suspension works fine and can bypass Vanguard with ease. Of course, we are not going to use such a public method. The vanguard driver bypass is purchased separately and it's only included in the Diamond subscription. Our cheat has custom driver and unique generated builds for each customer and even after Vanguard being active for the past 5 months, we have only 7 bans reported which was confirmed to be manual bans.
